Get Your Digital House in Order
A Live Working Session for Grassroots & Nonprofit Teams
- Digital stability is mission protection. Grassroots and mission-driven organizations move fast. Leadership shifts. Volunteers rotate. Coalitions form quickly. Campaigns evolve, partnerships expand, and information accumulates quickly. Yet digital systems often develop informally—documents stored across personal drives, accounts tied to individual emails, passwords known by only one person, and critical information scattered across platforms. Over time, this creates risk for the organization and makes it harder for teams to sustain and build on their work. This free 60-minute virtual working session introduces practical approaches to organizing and safeguarding the digital assets that support your mission. The goal is not to add complexity, but to establish simple structures that help organizations maintain continuity, clarity, and access to the information they rely on. Participants will leave with: A Digital Asset Map to identify where key organizational information lives A 12-question digital risk self-assessment to quickly evaluate vulnerabilities A practical digital continuity approach that can be implemented immediately This session is being offered free of charge as a contribution to the broader community of organizers, advocates, and mission-driven teams. As a grassroots organizer and technology professional, I’ve seen how easily important work can be disrupted when digital information is not structured or protected. The purpose of this session is simply to support the work of like-minded individuals and organizations by strengthening the systems that hold our collective knowledge and efforts together. Strong digital foundations help ensure that important work can continue, grow, and be carried forward by others.
